Presentation
In the field of industrial electronics and cabling there has been a tendency over the years towards demanding guaranteed reliability values, by means of thermic life cycle tests. This not only guarantees long-term thermic endurance (20,000 hours at 125/150°C) but also ensures reliability of the product for over 20 years when operated at lower temperatures. Today this is possible using special machinery to treat the insulating materials. Metallurgica Bresciana installed such machinery over ten years ago. In fact, its e-beam cross-linking plant can treat specific polymers to guarantee reliability at operating temperatures reaching 155°C.
